Innovation Centre
University of Bath Innovation Centre is a unique space in the centre of Bath, close to the rail network, that provides work stations and meeting rooms, business support and incubates high-growth companies and entrepreneurs. Part of the University of Bath’s Research Development & Support department, they have helped create over 500 jobs and raised over £50m in investment from venture capitalists looking to support emerging technologies and innovative business ideas.
Lunatrix Design have been creating design work for the Innovation Centre going back to the mid 2000’s and continue to provide an external design arm for any ongoing events, marketing and promotional design work that needs doing. Over the years we’ve produced countless one-off marketing PDF flyers and leaflets to promote events and seminars. We created the logo that is used throughout the Innovation Centre’s office – frosted out in glass panels and back lit with coloured lighting in the buildings entrance. We’ve also had a hand in designing the various logos and marketing material for networks within the Innovation Centre’s umbrella including; Silicon Southwest – a network promoting the regions microelectronics cluster. openMIC – an informal discussion group looking at new mobile applications and services. Assisted Living Action Network (ALAN) – Bringing together business, healthcare professionals and academics to collaborate and create commercial opportunities for an ageing population. We also designed the corporate identity for Digicity – Hot desk space and meeting rooms among similar creative start-ups based at the Innovation Centre and The Engine Shed in Bristol. In fact, looking back at the body of design work we’ve produced, including annual reports (link below), exhibition stand displays and banners, leaflets, posters and digital flyers, it’s a wonder we’ve had time to do anything else! We look forward to future events and hope to be involved with the Innovation Centre, sharing in the success they’ve afforded the countless business’s that have developed and flourished under their stewardship.
